I see dead people....

 

 

A phrase taken from the movie,  but in my case not entirely accurate.  I see images of dead people.  One hangs by my bedside lamp, my grandmother's high school graduation photo.  I was watching a video I did for a piece of music I composed.  The imagery, "The first spaceship to Venus", a big budget space film for Germany.  I have been kinda stuck on the announcer for the space organization.  A big cheeked blond woman, the way she turns her head and then her eyes to look into the camera.  Then her head tilts down as she says something.  It is such an odd expression and movement, emphasized by having been so slowed down. And I realized I love this image, this movement and when all the people wave farewell to the ship and crew, I think of how all those actors are dead (or are certainly elderly), and who is thinking of them right now?  Wondering what their names are and who they may have been.  What they thought of being in that moment, was it cold?
