Hutchinson Carbon Comp 700C tire review

I bought these as light inexpensive road riding tires.  They fold and in general seem an OK tire.  The other day I was descending Sierra Rd in San Jose ( A steep hill to say the least ) and noticed an odd soft sound from my rear wheel.  Had never heard anything quite like in in many thousands of miles worth of riding.  I stopped to take a look and found the entire tread surface was coming off.  Needless to say, I opted for a very conservative ride from there to home.
